Day 1: Arrival Cairo – Welcome to Egypt:

Welcome to Cairo, Egypt (Around the Clock)

Your tour manager will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport (Arrival procedures) and then he will escort you to the hotel. At hotel the tour manager will assist with a smooth check-in and review your holiday itinerary with you to establish and confirm pick-up times for each tour. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure

Optional Excursion: Cairo by Night with dinner, $35

Day 2: Pyramids and Egyptian Museum

After breakfast you will be accompanied by your personal guide to Giza Plateau to visit legendary majestic the Great Pyramids, Famous Sphinx and Valley Temple facing the great statue.

Then transfer to enjoy the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square. Take a trip through 5,000 years of art and see the most precious collection of Egyptian antiquities in the world. Discover the Treasures room of Tutankhamen collection.

Lunch will be served during the tour.

Optional Excursion: Sound & Light Show at Giza, $35: This evening, you will have the opportunity to experience the famous Sound & Light Show at Giza. See the marvelous luminary display of the Pyramids and the Sphinx.

Day 3: Old Cairo

After Breakfast we will take you by the elevator to the heights point (Cairo Tower) to Experience an incredible panoramic view of the Egyptian capital and then transfer to the Alabaster Mosque at the Citadel of Salah el-Din. Still used as a place of worship today, the Alabaster Mosque is the most important mosque in Cairo, and sits at the top of a limestone hill. Your guide will take you inside the mosque and give you an overview on the mosque’s history.  Then transfer to Khan el Khalili, then transfer to El Azhar Park to catch up the sun-set then back to your hotel.

Optional Excursion: Nile Dinner Cruise: This evening, join your fellow travelers on an optional dinner cruise with entertainment aboard a floating Nile River restaurant.

Day 4: Full-Day Tour of Historical Alexandria

 

After breakfast, you are an air-conditioned vehicle from Cairo to Alexandria approximately 2 hours First visit Pompay’s Pillar. It was constructed in honor of the Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century. Originally from the temple of the Serapis, it was once a magnificent structure rivaling the Soma and the Caesarean. Then you drive to visit the Catacombs which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock. Lunch at local restaurant in Alexandria, and then we proceed to see the Qaitbay Citadel which was built on the site of the ancient pharaohs (lighthouse) of Alexandria then to Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Finally you will drive back to your hotel in Cairo.

Begin the journey with a visit to the Roman theater in Kom El-Deka; a marble theater that once seated 800 spectators with galleries, sections of mosaic flooring, and a pleasure garden, all surrounded by Roman baths and villas.

 

Continuing, explore the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa; the necropolis of 3 sub-levels dating from the 2nd century AD merges aspects of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman culture in its features. See the Roman triclinium – a banquet hall to honor the dead, as well as statues, reliefs, and a pillared lobby featuring depictions of Egyptian gods in Roman armor.

 

Next saunter the lush Montaza Gardens, and see the site of the Alexandria Library. Concluding the tour, walk the ramparts of the 15th century Qaitbay Citadel, built upon the ruins of the ancient Alexandria Lighthouse. End this day of discovery with a relaxed evening drive back to Cairo, and your hotel.
